Who: All users. When: First use, a changed account or a changed installation.
- Open the address provided by your organisation. On the avowr entry page, select Continue with Microsoft. Use the approved Microsoft organisation account or the account associated with your invitation, and complete the sign-in prompts. avowr does not collect your Microsoft password. The hosted application uses avowr-app.jpwtech.co.nz; the previous grc-suite address remains available during transition. A new browser origin can require signing in again; it opens the same application and data with your existing permissions.
- Check the organisation name and your displayed profile before entering information. A profile photo depends on the configured Microsoft integration; initials are a fallback.
The name beneath the avowr logo identifies your organisation, not the software. Customer organisation names and historical audit entries retain their own identity; a product rebrand does not rename them.
- Open Today and check the areas available in the navigation. Missing modules can reflect your permissions.
- Save your changes and sign out when finished, especially on a shared device. Signing out ends this browser's avowr session without signing you out of other Microsoft 365 applications. Keep passwords, access tokens and recovery codes out of records and support messages.
Inactivity: avowr warns after nine minutes without foreground interaction and ends access after ten. Select Stay signed in before the countdown ends to continue. Background refresh and leaving a tab open do not keep it active. Save work before stepping away: unsaved form edits are not retained after expiry. When Your session has ended appears, select Continue with Microsoft and sign in again. Tabs on the same application address share activity and sign-out; another browser profile or application hostname has its own session.
Complete when: You see the intended organisation and can open a record you are authorised to access. If access fails, use sign-in troubleshooting.
